Tokens can lose all of their value. Names and symbols are not unique. Graduation only means a curve sold out. Transactions may be irreversible. Velyn is not pons, Robinhood, or Uniswap, and it does not give financial advice.

How a Velyn launch works

Velyn signs the contracts documented at docs.ponsfamily.com/v2. The protocol, not this website, holds the rules. This page is a map of the flow you are using.

Lifecycle

  1. Create. The factory mints the whole supply to a new curve. You choose the quote asset then, and it cannot be switched later.
  2. Trade. Buys pay the quote asset in. Sells return the quote asset. Fees come off the quote leg, never as a bill in the launch token.
  3. Opening tax. The first seconds of buys carry a decaying snipe tax. It starts high and is gone within about five seconds. Sells are not taxed by it. The launching wallet is exempt.
  4. Graduate. The curve keeps a fixed share for the pool. The buy that finishes the curve starts graduation. If that step stalls, anyone can call createGraduatedPool.
  5. Pool. Liquidity is locked in the launch locker. There is no withdraw function for it.

What you pay

A launch has a protocol trading fee and an optional creator tax set at creation, under the factory cap. The creator can later point fees at a new wallet and turn buybacks on or off. They cannot mint, freeze wallets, raise the tax, or touch locked liquidity. Buybacks, when on, vest over five years.

Public launching can be closed. Velyn reads canLaunch on the factory and will not offer a signature when that call returns false. The full reference is the pons v2 documentation.
